The New York Harbor Railroad
This is a NEW layout in the beginning of operations
development. The railroad is comprised
of the New York Central Railroad's 30th Street Yard and the 30th Street Branch, commonly called the High Line. Also in operation is the Erie Railroad's
28th Street Float Yard with active car float service, as well as the
Terminal Stores Building that was switched out by both Railroads. Not completed, but under construction is the
Lehigh Valley Railroad's 27th Street Yard that also interacted with
Terminal Stores.
Layout at a glance
Operating positions:
New York Central: 30th Street Yard Master and Engineer
New York Central: 30th Street Branch 2 Road Crews and 1 St. John's Park Terminal Yard Master
Erie Railroad: 28th Street Yard Master and Engineer
Lehigh Valley Railroad: (UNDER CONSTRUCTION) 27th Street Yard Master and Engineer
Active Staging Master: Responsible for setting up and tearing down
all in and out bound freight and mail trains on both the High Line and 30th Street.
Clerk: Writing Switch Lists and assigning cars from
Active Staging bound to and from 28th Street and eventually 27th Street as well.
Total Crew: 9 to 10, eventually 12
