Boston & Maine Division/Rutland Division
Bill Duffe
The LKJ&W is the parent corporation for my Boston and Maine and Rutland Divisions. The operation consists of the Fitchburg Division (B&M) from East Deerfield, Massachusetts westerly to Mechanicville, New York with a branch to Troy, New York. There is also a connection to the Rutland at Johnsonville. The Rutland Division focuses on North Bennington with connections (staging) to the city of Rutland. The modeling is designed to convey the flavor of particular locales and structures are used to enhance that concept. There are many kitbashed structures and many scratch-built ones. And although not prototypical, there is a car ferry in Mechanicville.

Operating positions:
Switch lists for all train movements. There are five two man crews, a dispatcher and tower operator for Greenfield. All of the cities and towns in the modeled area are map-correct for the operators meaning that West is always to the left. Almost all freight operations include some local switching. In addition there are passenger operations for which freight crews must clear. An in-house telephone system connects the dispatcher with East Deerfield yardmaster and the Train Director at North Bennington.
Comments:
Operators who have NCE cabs are requested to bring them. I have three, but three more are needed to operate and must use channels other than 10,11 and 12. The railroad is not handicapped accessible.
